Met Dee’s beautiful family on the last day of summer.
Got the chance to capture their 1st family portrait at Shinjuku Gyoen.
We didn't realize we were making memories we just knew we were having fun.
For this couple who traveled to Japan for their honeymoon, it's also a trip of a lifetime the first long trip they took together as husband and wife.
Isn't it exciting after the long wedding preparation you’ll gonna have fun? These two sure had memorable moments in Japan.
Photos were taken in the streets of Shibuya during the early Autumn of 2019.
One of the best topic in keeping a conversation is traveling; it can start a friendship, make a connection and give some confidence. How cool is it to start traveling as a baby?
Well, this baby Jagger traveled with his Mom and Dad as early as five months old. Travel is in my DNA and it will be a gift I am most proud to pass on to my son. I can’t wait to show him the world (provide him with photographic proof of all the places he will have to travel until he can create his own memories- his mom said. And his dad is traveling often because of work so I bet this little man will be exploring more at an early age.
One of the great perspectives in life is to never stop doing the thing that you love even though you have a baby, don’t let it be a hindrance and make it as an inspiration and add some twist.
This family session was taken in Shinjuku Park and Shinjuku Streets in Spring 2019. Oh, can’t imagine how awesome will this be. A family who travels together stays forever, right?
In the generation where marriage proposal is on trend, with all the effort and unimaginable preparation. How far can any man go? And because of the social media sharing all of those perfect moments, the standard was set pretty high.
Well, to some they just need a little bit of perfect timing. You might want to consider going on a vacation in Japan during springtime and propose under a Sakura Tree or make it a perfect background. Good idea, right? Who needs a florist and decorations when nature is giving it for free. To be surrounded with flowers is a way to a woman's heart. Isn't it?
Let’s take this an example Hector wants to propose under a Sakura tree, considering the fact that it’s almost over for Sakura when they came. We agreed to have the session in Shinjuku Park and unexpectedly Yaezakura; the late bloomer cherry blossoms were on its peak at the time. I remember this moment, it was so emotional and intimate. After she said yes, we shed tears and yes me as the photographer, too. Because we felt it in our hearts, if it's true you'll be carried away. That's how much this couple love for each other.
Newlywed couple Kiko and Natalia one out of five honeymoon destination is Tokyo. This upbeat couple is from Mexico and is up for a month of honeymoon in the Island of Maldives, Hongkong and many more.
This two are special, it’s always my line to tell couples that I’ve worked with to pretend that I’m not around. For the first time, they’ve told me “We want it to be natural, so we will pretend you’re invisible”. I was thrilled, I know that it will be all natural, spontaneous and full of intimacy.
We went first to the streets of Ginza where all the luxury shops are located and during the weekend they are opening the streets to the public so everyone can experience walking in the middle of it and Shinjuku for the second location for more of the Japanese vibe experience.
It's always a good time capturing such candid and raw emotions. Thanks to these two, it all genuine. Oh, genuine love in Tokyo!
On the day that I’ve met Alex and Clarie, it was a windy Spring afternoon and a too crowded Disneyland.
This couple welcomed me with their warm smiles and I eventually thought that we’re going to have an awesome session despite the condition.
In a short period of time, I know their love is true and I felt that I’m literally capturing a real fairytale. A once upon a time of a prince and a princess, a happily ever after kind of thing.
In our life especially when we are a child we believe in fairytales, that there’s a prince that could save and love a princess unconditionally. Love is felt and emotions couldn’t be fake.
Thanks to this bubbly couple from Singapore, who gave me feels of a great love story.
Every photographer’s playground is Shinjuku and for me, it’s a perfect location for a photo session because of the balance of nature and cityscape.
It was early spring at that time and we have to search for the early blossom Sakura. I was on the peak of excitement for my favorite season and this family from Indonesia came early for that. Apparently, I have a back to back session in the morning on that day and I was a bit sad that the first location was not that blooming. On the other hand, Shinjuku park has this Kawazu Sakura that was so perfectly beautiful and I was so delighted with so much joy.
On the first day of my 2019 Sakura session, I’ve met Renata’s family. They are one of the nicest family that I’ve ever met. They welcomed me with their warm smiles and calmness, a family that has love without pretension. It was all natural emotion.
The kind of happy moments that I want to remember.
A fever, cough, and colds will never be a hindrance in pursuing his girl. Have you ever been in that situation when you’re looking forward to that day and boom you’re not feeling well?
But, for this man sickness is not in his system and asking her to be his future wife with the perfect Mt. Fuji view will be the most memorable time of their life.
Oh, sometimes I wonder how love conquers all.
There ‘s a vibe in Yokohama that is so remarkable, the beauty of it will indulge you to a modern western style. The streets, architecture and so on was not so Japan.
It was an exciting moment for me to have a photo session there and thanks to this lovely couple who are celebrating their 25th year anniversary. Cheers
Jason and Cherie will be one of my favorite couple. These two are a great example of the word forever. Their secret was the secret relationship that they’ve had since high school, because Cherie’s family are strict, following some rules etc. . Challenging, isn’t it?
But, there are no challenges that can’t be beaten with a determined heart. Jason will do anything to prove that he is all worth it in getting her hand and be accepted by her family.
Upon hearing the news, I was so happy and thankful that at one time of my life I’ve met these two in Hakone for their secret proposal/engagement session. You guys are one of the reason why i believe in love. Cheers!
Have you ever think about moving to another country to be an expat? Is it exciting because of the experience waiting for you? Especially in Tokyo, where all of the uniqueness and varieties awaits.
Jason and Rachel are up for the adventure. This sweet and kind couple will be making the most out of Japan. As they open their lives into a new journey together, may they discover their Tokyo as awesome as it can be. Cheers!
I always love to have a photo session in Asakusa. Maybe because it’s one of the best place to visit in Tokyo for foreign people.
It was a lovely day and I was glad that I could meet a wonderful couple from Singapore. Markie and Charmaine were here to travel, they’ve been married for years and still in love with each other.
Hearing their love story of how they’ve met was the best. The chemistry of these two was overflowing and the character that they possess really match.
How awesome it is to capture moments that are so natural.
What a fun moments with these two.
Sometimes, plans didn’t work out that way we wanted it to be. Especially when it’s our first time to go to a place to ask the “Will you marry me?’’.
What will you do if you go to a wrong place and how will you tell her to move because you want to propose in another place? This couple traveler had that situation and guess what?
I will not specify the details but It ended with a '“YES” and pure happiness.
Shots for Sweetescape
We spent the afternoon wandering around the hippie part of the city. First stop is Daikanyama known as the Brooklyn of Tokyo because of the stylish variety of small cafe’s, restaurant and boutiques. A quiet location just one station away from Shibuya, definitely me and this couple enjoyed the moments of laughter and cafe trips. Next destination was the Red district of Tokyo, from the alleys to the neon lights and ended up drinking in a pub.
Pure moments with this artsy couple.
The more the merrier, they’ve said. Ever wonder how friendships are built and the story begins? It’s because of the set of events and once you’ve met the same kind, you’ll surely stick like the birds' flocks together.
Sharing some good vibes with the bunch of belters in a group photo session in Sengokuhara Pampass Field in Hakone.
I always want to capture moments during the morning, one reason is I’m a morning person, next will be the good sunlight and in the morning you can feel the calmness.
Meeting these two during the early morning in Hakone was an awesome memory. Obviously, I can call them as soulmates, best friends and a couple oozing with love. They’ve known each other for a long time, but the clock of destiny just decided when both of them got to be a mature individual.
One word to describe this couple is "thoughtful". Thoughtful to each other and others.
I’m really looking forward to the next chapter of their life.
Experience the beauty of Autumn and be amazed that you can enjoy it in Shinjuku Park just in the centre of Tokyo. Amazing isn’t it? Who could imagine that it is in the middle of the city? Enjoy the vibrant colours of nature while soaking into a great feeling of relaxation. These honeymooners from Mexico made their way to visit the park during their travel in Tokyo, shared some moments together and freeze it through photographs.
When it comes to Autumn destination in Japan Hakone is one of the best places to visit. The breathtaking view, the vivid colours, the crisp air and a chance to enjoy those things while soaking in a hot spring will be one of those memorable experience.
For Lance and Kim, this place is part of their journey as they will exchange vows in February 2019. Choosing this place as their pre-wedding destination, freezing the gentleness of their love and the happiness of the moment through Sweet Escape.
A newlywed couple Felipe and Marielle start their honeymoon journey in Japan. Walking hand in hand while strolling the busy streets of Shibuya and dancing in the famous Shibuya Scramble. These two were obviously enjoying their time and their first country out of four for their honeymoon trip.
A photo session gift from their friend was one of the highlights of their travel memories. For an hour of the photo shoot, I’ve witnessed a love story since childhood.
One of the best locations for a photo session in Tokyo is Harajuku. Keep in mind that you have to go there early in the morning when Takeshita street is empty and the shops are still closed for graffiti background, have some moments at the entrance of Meiji shrine without any people around and relax in Yoyogi park where you can still smell some fresh air in the city and catch the early autumn leaves. What a perfect location, isn’t it? Plus, a super romantic couple who just tied the knot a week before the photo session was a perfect mix for a good start of the day.
Cheers to the newlywed couple!
Kamakura shares many of the traditional features of Kyoto and Nara. It is a great place to get a taste of ancient Japan, often called as the Kyoto of Kanto region. Less than an hour train ride from Shibuya. An awesome experience awaits!
Jay and Mara are my “kababayan’ from the Philippines who are based in Doha, Qatar. These two are so kind and caring. No doubt that their relationship is almost a decade now and they will promise forever next year.
Cheers and all the best to Jay and Mara!
When do you know that you've already found the one? The one that you want to spend the rest of your life with. The one that you want to see everyday when you wake up. The person who'll become your better half.
Maybe it's when you see the person and all you can say is "I can't live without her".
Wei Cheng finally got down on his knee and asked Daphne to marry him under the Sakura Trees in Shinjuku Gyoen. He put an effort and take it to the next level in preparing some memorabilia and a bouquet of flowers.
Cheers to the newly engaged couple!
They've met because of dancing and now they are ready to be together forever.
These two were oozing with love and care. Proposal memories in Kawasaki, Japan during Spring of 2018.
One of the tourist spots near Tokyo, Japan is Kawaguchiko, the home of Mt. Fuji. It was an ideal getaway for travellers around the world, just like this group of friends from Indonesia who explored the nature of the city while riding bicycles to catch the Autumn ambience and to support their friend’s plan of proposing to his girlfriend.
What a great friendship and a wonderful celebration of love to be treasured forever.
Literally, love is greater than the storm. On that day, Japan has been hit by its most powerful storm in a quarter of a century named, Jebi. Without further ado, Daniel asked his woman to be his wife in Tokyo Disneyland.
It was a perfect timing indeed and the weather became worse after the proposal. No storm can’t stop this love story.
Cheers to the newly engaged couple Daniel and Sook.
A secret proposal in Hakone. Ambrose chose the Torii Gate in Hakone Shrine with the spectacular view of Lake Ashi to bend down his knee and ask her girlfriend Alex to be his lifelong partner.
Indeed, it was a success and both of them enjoyed the moment of an unforgettable memories.
Sensoji Temple, one of the famous temple in Tokyo, Japan. Surrounded with vibrant pagodas and shops. The variety of experience from wearing kimono, strolling down Nakamise-dori and Sensoji temple, a chance to get your fortune told for 100 yen, enjoy the free show while vendors make “ningyoyaki” etc. It will definitely blow up your mind and make your visit worth it.
For an Australian Family, visiting Japan was their first outside of the country trip with their two amazing children. Traveling with children in this country is the most brilliant idea, I’m going to say that Japan is a child friendly place.
I really admire the calmness and warmth of this family, memories of natural emotions that I’ll treasure forever. Dad and Mom are happy so the kids are happier.
A one day tour in Yamanashi, Japan which led to a secret proposal in Shibazakura Garden, Kawaguchiko. It was a perfect day to see Mt. Fuji and chased the Cherry Blossom season.
Tim picked the best place to proposed to Sam and believe me it was memorable and funny.
Early morning couple photo session in Shibuya and Shinjuku Japan to escape the crowd and busyness. Ming and Angelina was full of love and kindness. They were not a soon to be married or a newly one but these two proved that true love does exist. With a great treatment for each and putting each other first will be one of the secret of a happy marriage.
